The Rock Critics' Association of America has repeatedly threatened to revoke my membership for continually championing the virtues of Boston's debut album, but I don't care — I'd way rather listen to the late Brad Delp's soaring multi-tracked vocals and Tom Scholz and Barry Goudreau's impossibly fat Les Paul tones and perfectly harmonized guitar leads than anything Radiohead ever waxed. And really, has Thom Yorke (or any of his frowny ass-clown bandmates) ever sported a 'do as thoroughly bad-ass as Sib Hashian's?
The answer, my friends, is a resounding NO. Spaceship guitar logo aside, Boston was never much on visual flair, but their drummer's Armenian Afro gave the band all the funky stylistic credibility it required circa 1976-1980, since nothing said "boogie tonight, mama keep on tokin'" quite like Sib's "smokin'" hair. While Scholz got all the props as the genius behind the band, and Delp was indeed an incredible singer, few gave the magic mushroom power of Sib's 'fro the credit it so dearly deserved. Think about it: Sib played on the quadrillion-selling 1976 debut, and on 1978's underrated Don't Look Back; he did not play on Third Stage or the handful of other lousy albums that ScholzCo has released since. Coincidence... or 'Fro?
now would that be a Jewfro Dan?
curious minds want to know...

Sib's chest 'fro is quite impressive as well.

Since Sib was Armenian, I would guess NO to the Jewfro. Those Armenians are a hirsuit bunch. A waxers worst nightmare.

Best 'fro in rock. #2 isn't even close.

yeah cool hair.....unfortunately the real story is that he never played on really any of those early albums (at least according the "man" Tom). The band was a front to get signed and needed for live performance. Most of those early albums were mostly Tom on instruments and Brad on vocals
