A funky birthday shout-out to another entertainer with a baseball past: Country star Charley Pride, who had his biggest hits in the 1970s (including "Kiss An Angel Good Mornin," "Is Anybody Goin' To San Antone" and "I Can't Believe That You've Stopped Loving Me"), and played ball in the Negro Leagues and the Yankees and Reds farm systems in the 50s and 60s. Here's Charley in the late 70s, wearin' a sweet leisure suit and patterned shirt combo (and sportin' the most happenin' afro in country music history), shootin' the shit with Twins manager Gene Mauch.
