On this date in 1978, Dave "Kong" Kingman (wearing the Cubs' infamous white-pinstriped "blue pajamas" road uni) hits three home runs and drives in eight runs as the Cubs beat the Dodgers 10-7 in 15 innings at Dodger Stadium.
