Was anyone out there actually into Reggie Bars? I remember being pretty stoked to see them in the "impulse candy" rack at my local drugstore; but after eating one of 'em, I can't recall ever feeling compelled to go back for seconds. It was kind of like a bigger, denser and chalkier $100,000 Bar — perfect for whipping onto the field at Yankee Stadium, but not exactly my idea of a tasty treat. They were only the market until the early '80s, although I swear I saw several "past sell-by date" boxes of them at the 99 Cent Store on Wilshire Blvd in the mid-'90s, and was sorely tempted to buy them all just for the novelty factor.

I loved these things when I was a kid. I remember they were 25 cents and I was able to get a comic book and Reggie Bar and have some change left over from my dollar.
Sparky Lyle was the one who said, I think, that the Reggie Bar was the only one that told you how good it was.
